I remember getting excited when Luke first started scribbling with crayons. Or when he'd take one of my paint brushes and reach as high as he could up the wall to try to "paint" on one of my paintings hanging in the back room of our gun-club house in ND.

Now that he's actually starting to be able to depict things that we can recognize, or that make sense when he explains them...? It's just amazing! A few days ago we played a few rounds of Pictionary with him. He had to explain what the baby chick was, but then it totally made sense. And Beau guessed the Christmas tree right away! Today he drew a Death Star, with Darth Vader standing on it (with his cape), and a TIE fighter.

This mama is proud.
