My brother came up with this dictum while we were living in Hayward, CA, in 2007. Such beautiful vegetables! We'd see them at the farmers' market and be lured by their color, shape, texture... We'd buy a bunch. Then get home and not know what to do with them! Hence a decree was made, and strictly followed.....
